Making decisions can be challenging. If you have a learning disability, a brain injury, some decisions can be harder still. Law unpacked helps you understand how to use the law, particularly the Mental Capacity Act 2005, to support people to make their own decisions. Or to help them choose and empower trusted people to make decisions for them.
Our director Sheree Green says, “I am a mental capacity solicitor. But this channel is not for solicitors. It is for ordinary people who want to support others – in their decision-making. My aim is to unpack the law and present it in bite size portions, for you to access and use as you need to. I hope this will be helpful to families with a person with disabilities – in navigating the law that impacts on you and those you love.
